Dr. Tera Giroux was born and raised just outside Detroit, Michigan. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Michigan State University with a specialization in Health Promotion. After graduation, she began her chiropractic education at Palmer College of Chiropractic in Port Orange, FL. While completing her clinical rotations, Dr. Tera focused and specialized in sports injuries and rehabilitation. She has gained invaluable experience treating high school, collegiate, Olympic, and professional athletes as well as weekend-warriors. She completed her preceptorship in Charlotte, North Carolina with the official team chiropractors for the Carolina Panthers where she refined her chiropractic, soft tissue, and rehabilitation skills.
Dr. Tera is certified in Active Release Technique ® (ART), Graston Technique ®, Stecco Fascial Manipulation, FAKTR, Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA) and RockTape™. She possesses extensive post-graduate training in functional rehabilitation, extremity adjusting, nutrition, and pregnancy and pediatrics. She is also trained in Diversified, Gonstead, Thompson, Webster, and Activator techniques.
Dr. Tera’s mission is to provide her patients with personalized, comprehensive care using the latest, most innovative techniques in soft tissue therapies and rehabilitation. Her goals are to restore and elevate her patient’s health, and give her patient’s the knowledge, power, and tools they need to get them back in the game as quickly as possible.
Dr. Tera enjoys learning and teaching and you can always find her reading, researching, or taking seminars to be able to provide the best patient care she can. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, attending concerts and sporting events, being a devoted Michigan State Spartans fan, and actively exploring her new home in the Pacific Northwest.
